Description

Pencil signed lower right. The printer, Lynton Kistler's mongram is seen lower left in pencil along with the edition size: 9 of 10.
This is an unusual aerial perspective of what appears to be the Ranco de Taos community.

Although born in Massachusetts, Wells ended up in the Southwest in 1932 becoming one of the Toas Modernists.
Influenced by Dasburg, Raymond Jonson, and Georgia O'Keeffe, Wells developed a personal semi-abstract style that brought considerable praise from his peers.
