With no. “1” and the name of the publisher Cl. Jansz. Visscher. Four lines of Latin text and the date 1617; A dedication to Hendrick Hondius by Visscher.

Provenance: J. E. Wetterauer (Stuttgart, 1946), his stamp on verso (Lugt 3870)

Literature: Franken-v.d. Kellern 146, Hollstein 30 III (VI)

Excellent impression on 17th century paper, small margins around the platemark, and otherwise in very good condition. View of a village with a church along a canal with a towboat (‘trekschuit’). The signs of the Zodiac for the period of Spring are in the sky. An impression of this quality is hard to find.
