Signed in the plate, lower left, with the etched "B". Signed in pencil. This is a superb impression of this important print. The margins are wide and the condition is excellent. Here Bracquemond best conveys his interest in Japanese prints and their design elements. This print is illustrated and discussed in Japonisme, Japanese Influence on French Prints by Gabriel Weisberg,et al. (1975), page 35. This impression is from the edition of 100 impressions printed by Frederick Keppel around 1900. Similar impression are in the collection of the Detroit Institute of Art and the Indianapolis Museum of Art, among others.
