David Row developed a “random” drawing system for this print (and others from this series). He would draw lines that crisscrossed each other onto a sheet of paper with his eyes CLOSED. Then, taking each intersection as a point of departure, he would construct a new geometric shape. Each of these shapes were then re-drawn onto steel plates and etched in nitric acid. The result, with all of its beautiful plate tone, is this astonishing print.
